Eleven Pirate Ships Buried in Texas Mud

Eleven pirate ships. Buried in the mud of Aransas Bay. Not legend — documented. This episode follows the privateers who used the Texas coast as their base of operations before Texas was Texas. The same bays where whooping cranes land every November were once staging grounds for ships carrying letters of marque, contraband, and the crew of Jean Lafitte. Some of those ships never left.
