Support Free Community Resources

Sponsor Our Work

Rockport Birding HQ develops and maintains free digital resources that help residents and visitors explore the natural, historical, and cultural heritage of Rockport-Fulton and the surrounding Coastal Bend.

These resources can also complement the work of museums, historical organizations, conservation groups, tourism organizations, educational institutions, and other community organizations.

Funding helps us research, build, maintain, improve, and expand these resources while keeping them freely accessible to the public.

Discuss a Project

Annual, project-based, organizational, and grant-funded support is welcome.

Help Fund Resources the Community Can Use

Rockport Birding HQ has invested in digital resources that make local history, nature, birding, and cultural information easier for the public to find and use.

Organizational and grant funding can help sustain existing resources and support their continued development.

Aransas County Historical Markers

Rockport Birding HQ's historical marker resource brings local historical markers together in an accessible digital guide, helping residents and visitors discover the people, places, industries, and events that shaped Rockport, Fulton, Lamar, and the surrounding area.

What funding supports

Funding may support continued historical research and verification, digitization, mapping, interpretive content, photography and media, accessibility improvements, corrections and updates, technical maintenance, hosting, and expansion of the resource.

Free Self-Guided Tours

Rockport Birding HQ creates free self-guided visitor experiences that connect people with local history, nature, birding, cultural resources, and places of interest without requiring participation in a scheduled or paid tour.

Birding & Wildlife Resources

Rockport Birding HQ maintains public resources designed to help residents and visitors discover and understand the birds, wildlife, habitats, migration patterns, and birding locations of the Rockport-Fulton area.

Audio Interpretation & Exhibits

Rockport Birding HQ produces Tales from the Texas Coast, a free audio series exploring the history, wildlife, people, and places of the Texas Coast. Programs can be heard individually online, several pair with self-guided driving tours, and selected programs can be assembled into a continuous playlist for unattended museum and visitor-center displays.

What funding supports

Funding may support historical research, episode development, audio production, new programs, exhibit-ready audio playlists, technical maintenance, and continued free public access.

Funding a Public Resource

Museums, historical organizations, governmental entities, nonprofits, foundations, tourism organizations, conservation groups, educational institutions, and other community organizations may have grant, interpretive, preservation, tourism, educational, conservation, or community-development funding that aligns with work already being done by Rockport Birding HQ.

We welcome conversations about supporting an existing resource or defining a specific project that aligns with an organization’s funding requirements and public-service goals.

Before funding is committed, we can work together to define the project, scope of work, intended public benefit, funding period, deliverables, documentation, and appropriate sponsor acknowledgement.

Eligibility for any grant or funding program is determined by the funding organization or grantor.

Recognizing Support

Organizations that financially support a Rockport Birding HQ public resource may receive appropriate acknowledgement during the funding or sponsorship period.

Recognition can be discussed as part of the project and may include acknowledgement on the supported resource, organization name and logo, a link to the sponsoring organization’s website, or recognition in related project materials.

Sponsorship does not transfer editorial control of Rockport Birding HQ content. Historical, educational, and interpretive content remains independently researched and maintained.

Community Collaboration

Rockport Birding HQ also works with local organizations that share information, research, media, expertise, educational resources, or other materials that benefit the community.

Collaboration and financial sponsorship are separate relationships. Organizations do not need to be financial sponsors to be appropriately credited as project partners, contributors, or sources.

Let’s Discuss a Project

If your organization has grant funding, annual project funding, or another source of support that may align with one of these resources, we’d be happy to discuss the project with you.

We can help identify the resource being supported, describe the work and public benefit, define an appropriate scope, and provide information your organization may need for a board discussion, grant application, or funding proposal.
