Who We Are
Rockport Birding HQ (rockportbirdinghq.com) is operated by CAP Creative Solutions, a sole proprietorship based in Texas. Contact us at capcreativesolutions@gmail.com.
Information We Collect
We collect only what's necessary to operate the site:
- Email address — when you sign up for migration alerts, submit a bird sighting, or submit a Bird-Nest property listing. Used only to send you what you signed up for.
- Bird sighting submissions — species, location, photo, and photographer name you provide. Approved sightings are displayed publicly on the site.
- Bird-Nest listing information — property name, description, contact details, and photo URL provided when listing a vacation rental. This information is displayed publicly once your listing is active.
- Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
- Analytics — we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand site traffic. This tool does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites.
How We Use Your Information
- To send migration alert emails you've subscribed to
- To review and publish bird sighting submissions
- To process and manage Bird-Nest vacation rental listings
- To send transactional emails related to your listing (approval, payment confirmation, edit links)
- To improve the site using aggregated, anonymous analytics
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely in Supabase (a PostgreSQL database hosted in the United States). Email delivery is handled by Resend. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. All three services maintain their own security and compliance certifications.
Cookies
Rockport Birding HQ does not use tracking cookies. Cloudflare Analytics is cookieless. Stripe may set cookies during the checkout process, governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Your Rights
You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing capcreativesolutions@gmail.com. We will remove your information from our systems within 30 days. Note that publicly submitted bird sightings displayed on the site may remain unless you specifically request their removal.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
