Rockport Birding Sites Β· Site #31

Airport Road
A very accessible shoreline stop with open views and enough habitat contrast to keep it interesting in multiple seasons.
Airport Road gives birders easy access to the bay side of the airport property, where undeveloped shoreline creates a productive edge for coastal birds. The site is simple to work and often rewarding for terns, waders, pelicans, and passing raptors. Because it is close to several other strong peninsula stops, it fits neatly into a compact driving route.
