Goose Island State Park
A classic birding stop with both shoreline and oak-motte habitat, making it one of the most versatile sites in the area.
Goose Island State Park offers a little of everything: open bay views, shoreline birding, and shaded oak habitat that can hold migrants. The fishing pier and adjacent water are especially good for scanning winter waterbirds, while the wooded areas can produce songbirds during migration. Because of its facilities and broad appeal, it works well for both serious birders and relaxed tour guests.
