Memorial Park

A versatile inland park where a pond, tree cover, and open space can attract both migrants and everyday resident birds.

Memorial Park is a good contrast to the bayfront stops because it offers more of an inland parkland feel. The pond and surrounding loop trail can hold resident birds year-round, while spring migration often brings a rotating cast of warblers, grosbeaks, and flycatchers. For tours, it is a comfortable stop with easy walking and enough habitat variety to keep a slower-paced group engaged.
