Rockport Beach Park
A signature Rockport stop with sweeping bay views and some of the best easy-access coastal birding in town.
Rockport Beach Park blends broad scenic appeal with genuinely strong birding. The observation areas overlooking Bird Island can be spectacular in spring and summer, when colonial waterbirds and Black Skimmers are especially active. Even outside nesting season, the beach, shallows, and open bay can produce pelicans, terns, spoonbills, and wintering shorebirds, making this one of the most consistently enjoyable sites for visitors.
